Ingredients  

  • 2 cups Besan ( chickpea flour )
  • 1/2 cup Oil  for frying 
  • Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp 
  • 2 tsp Black pepper ( crush)
  • 1-1/2 Carom Seeds  
  • Salt  for taste
  • Pinch of Asafoetida 

Process:

1 Take chickpea flour in a big bowl, warm up some oil.and add salt,baking soda and warm oil in pour.  Mix well.  Crush with hands  add carom seeds,add a pinch of asafoetida, cruslly ground black pepper. Mix all ingredients well.

2 Add some water  into small portions and make very soft dough. You can  dough with your hand or spoon as well. 3/4 cup water is used. The Dough is continuously mixed for 10 to 12 minutes. 

3 Take  portable jali ,Fix it in the machine,and Grease hands with oil, lift dough, put in the machine and Close the machine. 

4 Take a pan  of heated oil on medium-low heat. Press and put the gathiyas to fry the pan. After 3 to 5 minutes, flip it. Once fried, take it out, keep the gathiyas in a plate.And transfer the kitchen paper towel to remove the extra oil. 

5 Bhavnagri Gathiya are fried and ready. and cool down,  and keep them in an airtight container.
