- 2 cups rice
- 1/2 cup fresh yogurt curd
- 2 tbsp ginger chilli paste
- 1 cup mix Dal (chana Dal,urad Dal,moong Dal,toor dal)
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 4 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp baking soda or eno
1 Take a big mixing bowl add rice and all dal.wash it and soak for 6-7 hour or over night.after drain water and take a mixer jar.add rice and Dal in it.add yogurt and grind it in a smooth batter but make sure not too watery or not too thick batter.
2.take out and cover the lid and rest it for 6-8 hour for fermentation and keep it in a warm place.
3 Take out the batter in a bowl.add salt,red chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder, ginger chilli paste and mix it well.heat the steamer.pour one cup of water in it.grease the plate.add baking soda or eno in a dhokla better and mix it well.pour in a plat evenly and sprinkle some red chilli powder and Steam for 10-12mntutes.
4 Our live dhokla is ready.cut in prices.Pour some peanut oil or sesame oil spread on the dhokla and garnish with fresh green coriander leaves.
5 Serve and enjoy hot or warm Dhokla with spicy green chutney and tomato sauce or spicy garlic red chilli chutney.
